Chief Execuvtive Engineer, Mr. Suraj Kumar Shrestha

Mr. Shrestha is a Civil Engineer with years of experience in hydropower projects study, planning and development. He is responsible for planning, study and detailed engineering design of hydropower and other infrastrucure projects.Mr. Shrestha started his career designing and supervising the construction of 2.5 MW Sunkoshi Small Hydropower developed by Sanima Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. He worked for Sanima Hydropower Pvt. Ltd and Sanima Hydro and Engineering Pvt. Ltd for more than 9 years. During his association with Sanima Hydro he was engaged in the design and construction of 1 MW Pheme Khola Small Hydropower Project, 22 MW Mai Khola Hydropower Project. He was also engaged in the study, design, planning of various sized hydropower projects in Nepal and Abroad which includs 27 MW Lower Likhu Hydropower Project, 57 MW Lower Tamor Hydropower Project, 490 MW Upper Tamor Hydropower Project and so on. He has abroad experience from Kenya, Zambia, Afganisthan and Consulting job experience with SMEC International Pty Ltd - South Africa and Graeme Watson Associates.

Project Manager, Mr. Prajwol Shrestha

Mr. Shrestha is a Civil Engineer with 12 years of extensive experience in environmental research studies, management, planning and implementation, supervision and monitoring of various sized projects in Nepal and abroad (India, Loas). He has published various research reports, papers, articles in National and International Journals.

Sr. Advisor, Mr. Pushpa Chitrakar

Mr. Chitrakar is a civil engineer. He has been actively involved in implementing micro, mini, small and large hydropower projects in Nepal and abroad from policy formulation, conception to construction and operation phases.   He started his career supervising the construction of 12.5 MW Jhimruk Hydro-electric power plant, designing of 60MW Khimti HP and so on. He worked for Butwal Power Company Ltd for more than one decade, Small Hydropower Promotion Project/GTZ for nearly half a decade, United Nations Human Settlement Program (UNHABITAT/Afghanistan) for nearly half a decade and other hydropower projects. During his tenure in GTZ, the prudent practice of independent power producers was to have his technical and financial observations and review prior to starting hydropower projects in Nepal. He was an active member responsible for formulating AEPC’s micro-hydropower guidelines and subsequent technical well as managerial trainings. He has also written many practical software and design tools that are presently been used in more than two dozen countries including Nepal, Switzerland, India, Afghanistan, Norway, Georgia, Magnolia, Korea, Thailand, Madagascar and Ethiopia. His published design tools namely Mini-Hydropower Design Aids (SHPP/GTZ), Discharge Measurement and Engineering Surveying Tools (UNHABITAT) and Gravity Water Supply System Design Tools (UNHABITAT) and can also be downloaded from web.

Sr. Consultant, Mr.Surya Adhikari

Mr. Adhikari is an Electrical Engineer. His areas of involvements are hydropower plant operation, rural electrification development, transmission and electromechanical system design, project management and development of hydropower projects in Nepal and abroad.He spent more than a decade in Butwal Power Company Ltd (1995 to 2008) where he was engaged in operation and management of hydropower plants, transmission line design, electro-mechanical design, grid based rural electrification development in extremely rural areas. During his tenure in BPC he was actively engaged in consulting services of over 35 hydropower projects including 60 MW Khimti Hydropower Project. After BPC he was involved as a project manager for 20 MW Lower Modi Khola Hydroelectric Project and 3.52 MW Charanawati Khola Hydroelectric Project where, Charanawati Khola Hydroelectric Project is in operation since 2012. He has over 10 years of international (German and Liberia) consulting experience in the projects funded by USAID and NORAD and Ministry of Foreign Affair Norway.

Sr. Consultant, Mr. Kumar Bajracharya

Mr. Bajracharya is a Civil Engineer with more than one decade experience in hydropower projects study, planning and construction.

Mr. Bajracharya started his career as a Site Engineer at 14 MW Modi Khola Hydroelectric Project however, he was also engaged in the study and design of 15.1 MW Middle Modi Hydropower Project and 44 MW Super Madi Hydropower Project. He has already completed the construction of 2.5 MW Sunkoshi Small Hydropower project as a Site Engineer, 3.5 MW Khudhi Khola Hydropower Project as a Site Engineer, 3 MW Bhairabkunda Hydroelectric Project as a Project Manger. Currently he is engaged in the construction of 9.4 MW Adhikhola Hydropower Project as a Project Manager.

Consultant, Mr. Subarna Khanal

Mr. Khanal is an Engineering Geologist and has more than 5 years of experience in detailed geological surface investigation, sub-surface investigation and design of the various development projects. He has design experience in various hydropower projects ranging from 1 MW to 490 MW projects.

Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Durga Suman Joshi

Mr. Joshi is a mechanical engineer having more than two decade of work experience in design, manufacture, erection, testing and commissioning of hydro-mechanical and electromechanical works of various hydropower and other infrastructure projects in Nepal and abroad. He has extensive experience in design of transformers and hydro-mechanical components such as gates, stoplogs, trashracks, penstock and steel structures such as towers and bridges. He was engaged as Mechanical Engineer in 6.42 MW-Upper Mailung ‘A’ Hydropower Project and Ekarat Engineering Co. Pvt. Ltd, Branch Manager in Radha Structure & Engineering works, Instructor in Lalitpur technical school and Small and Cottage Industries-Government of Nepal, and many others. He has abroad work experience of Bangkok and India.

Civil Engineer, Mr. Udhav Silwal

Mr. Silwal is a civil engineer and is actively engaged in detailed engineering design, drawing preparation and quantity estimates of vrious hydropower and other infrastructure projects in Nepal and abroad (Middle East). He has design experience in various hydropower projects ranging from 1 MW to 22.2 MW.

Mr. Sayami is an IT engineer and has 7 years of experience in IT system along with networking, system management and web-page design. He was Senior Executive in CAS and served for 5 years in CAS.

Electrical Engineer, Mr. Juben Bhaukaji

Mr. Bhaukajee is an Electrical engineer and has experience in electrical design & study, tender document preparation and proposal writing and operation of Hydropower projects ranging from 1 MW to 490 MW (2.5 MW Sunkoshi Small Hydropower Project, 5 MW Junbesi Khola Hydropower Project, 27 MW Lower Likhu Hydropower Project, 22 MW Mai Khola Hydropower Project, 490 MW Upper Tamor Hydropower Projects and many others). He has also carried out number of power evacuation studies and designed transmission lines ranging from 11kV to 220 kV and grid interconnection system for various sized hydropower projects.
